Ever since French fashion house Chanel announced the launch of its Coco café in Singapore last month, we have been eagerly anticipating for its arrival! The beauty pop-café drawn a massive crowd across the island and we took some time off to visit this one-of-a-kind pop-up cafe. We are excited to share our experiences with you so let’s get right into it!
Chanel described the café on its website as “a vibrant beauty pop-up event to savour the latest Chanel beauty collections in a café-themed experience” and we agree with it unanimously. The monochromatic space had vibrant pink blocks decorating its walls alongside confectionery filled jars, Chanel’s Chance perfumes, Rogue Coco glosses and Le Vernis nail polishes adorned neatly on the counters and shelfs.
The upsized Chance perfume definitely takes the crown as the most eye catching décor – if only we could bring one back to our office!
We made a reservation through Chanel’s website prior to the official opening and received a token for a complimentary beverage upon entering. Three types of beverages were available for us to choose from its specially curated menu – beauty bubble tea (coconut water with lychee popping boba pearls), coffee (latte, mocha and black coffee) and four kinds of juices inspired by the Chance perfumes. We got ourselves a hot cuppa latte which was pretty good – the amount of espresso and milk was well balanced and we finished it pretty quickly.
With every purchase made in the café, we are able to pick a sweet treat ranging from cakes, tarts to cookies – our inner sweetaholic were beaming while we watched our tarts getting packed. The tarts were so beautifully presented we almost couldn’t bear to eat it.
We have to admit that the café is almost every woman’s dream – you get to pamper yourself with a makeover and express manicure from the in-house beauty advisors and manicurists, and a photo from the beauty photo booth for us to look back on. We also picked up some lip-shaped lollipops as an edible souvenir before we made our way out. Merci beaucoup Chanel!
